photos will be uploaded as soon as i filter them :)

it was a long day after all at Cosfest 2010, and it was the very 1st time that i did went on both days = resulting in a huge pile of photos waiting to be filtered.

well, i'll start with Day 1 then...

i was actually quite worried for the day itself since it practically rained the entire day and amazingly stopped temporarily while i was there and re-started again after i reached home... kinda lucky i guess... so with the weather being rather cooling after the morning rain, destination Downtown East! it wasn't as packed yet when i reached there (with my friends of cos) and it was a perfect chance to look around the booths in the meantime, while waiting for the band competition to start. the stall layouts were changed this year and there are pro and cons to it too. i personally feel that having the public booths at the side of the tent was quite a good idea since the "owners" of the stalls wouldn't be blocking any public walking to and fro and they would have much more space as compared to previous years where people get to walk behind them. but for the main shops like pan-in-the-box and such, placing them in the center wasn't actually good, it did accommodate to more visitors but for space wise, it was a little cramped up... pros and cons yea... leaving that aside, the band competition was wonderful as well, however, i really couldn't see the drummer at all ._. he was like blocked by all the amps and was sitting alone in the corner, poor guy / girl. Music wise, it was OK, Bad Apple from Touhou was a good attempt, Butterfly from Digimon just rocked through, and the vocalist was not bad too :) didn't stay for the entire band competiton since switching among teams took a rather long time as they were using their own personal instruments. so moving in and out was a way to kill time and to spot-and-snap some photos to my collection. it then started to get packed later in the afternoon but i left the event early, like 4pm+ as there isn't much going on after that... and the Korean team that was invited had a great skit as well, great stunts and coordinations! thumbs up for them :D

for today, the weather was great throughout the day, no rain whatsoever to upset the event at all. reached there about the same time as day one and some performances have already started. decided to go to the Graffiti Wall to scribble somethings, leaving my first mark on Cosfest :) and then moving on to the spot-and-snap procedure. there weren't many repetitions as compared to Day 1 and most of the stalls, including the major ones, had restocked their goods... wanted to buy the small miku plush but it'll burn quite a big hole in my wallet =X when the competition on the Asia Meet had started, i was generally glued when most of the performers came on stage. especially the Kaito (from Korea) who had this super bright LED-wrapped guitar. went on to locate them afterwards and found them at last, after some zooming in and out of the tent. it was then the WCS competition, the FF team's monster had some awesome costume and exchangeable wings and THAT is cool =/ so for this year, there were 2 winners for the Asia Meet, Mr. Franky, previously Armstrong from Cosfest 2009 (he's got the luck to go Japan twice eh...) and another gal from the Philippines. and the WCS team representing Singapore was the FF team and the awesome costume. oh, and i almost forgot, the Singapore Wind Symphony was awesome too, beautiful FF piece and caramelldansen xD. But sadly, the Caramelldansen fever had expired and it was now turned into a parade around the shops, it wasn't a bad idea but i would've hoped for Caramelldansen fever to last a few more years... and thus, the finale and the end of Cosfest 2010, enjoyed myself quite well this time (although my Angel Beats! armband broke .__. nearing the end) and its sayonara Cosfest 2010! SEE YOU AGAIN ON COSFEST 2011 XDDD

oh and on the last note: LED-lights have now TOTALLY entered the Cosplay community, i mean, almost ALL the competitors are using SUPER BRIGHT LED lights to light up their weapons etc, maybe i'll get to see Mr. Gundam back again, and this time, with more LED @.@

and what i got from Cosfest :) Vocaloid + BRS lurve :D
