Home Sweet Home!

Just had my first book out over on the 17th, late in the night, days since I actually last saw SBS buses and taxis. Common sights quickly became rare over my 17 days of confinement over at Tekong. Since the NS is a rather sensitive issue to blog about, I wouldn't be talking about what we actually do but it's real tiring for both the body and mind. And I'll leave it to just that.

Feels just great to be home once again!

Due to the early waking up schedule from army life, met up with my friends over at mac bloody early in the morning at 7+ to have a much missed mac breakfast. It's good to know that everyone's doing fine :D

Ain't got much time to finish up all the anime that I've missed, and I actually don't have much time to actually blog a long post too. Maybe more time next time after I get used to the length of time I have during the book out.

So I did manage to catch a glimpse of Black Rock Shooter and I would daresay it's currently slotted high over the other series for now and would likely be one of the considerations for the Best series for the first quarter of 2012. Not much explanations were given relating the real world and the world in which BRS lives in but the animation quality, action sequences were in great detail too. Would appreciate more of the BRS scenes to be actually shown in screen time since they are all awesome and perhaps some back light could be shed soon since this series is going to be a short 8 episode series and I do not hope that it'll come to an end with all its loose ends untied. Will definitely be following this!

Caught up a little on Guilty Crown as well, shockingly and positively surprising, I would say GC had bounced right back up after the first arc and the second arc might just overpower the first. We got to see a gar-version of Shu which is actually nice to see, to see him in a different light, being all evil and stuff like that. And the horrible ranking system that was improvised. Still being largely different from Gai's leading style, it was still good to see how Shu acts like a tyrant leader and he seems to fit that role quite well too. Some of the characters had death flags almost or already set, such as Souta and the dear Hare that sacrificed her void and life to save Shu. And now we know too: that the void is the soul of the person and when the void is destroyed, the person dies.

Still have a couple more to catch up: Daily Lives of High School Boys, Another, Shakugan no Shana, Nisemonogatari... oh well, at least it'll be a packed weekend in and out! And now, awaiting the next book out!

Got my hands on the 1st Ed. Madoka WS trial deck as well with an exclusive PR card inside. The next edition would probably contain a signed card and Mami and Kyouko character cards but I'll take a pass on that and focus on the boosters instead :)
