this post would be yet another rare non-anime entry:

now lets talk about penspinning XDDD
(i 4got whether i posted it b4 lol)

well, penspinning is really a fun thing to do and a challenge to learn and an ABSOLUTELY great way to kill time when ure bored.

here are just some pros and cons of it:

the GOOD points:
-trains up ur fingers' flexibility
-kill time
-fun
-beautiful combos can be created to make urself go "WOW!"

the BAD points:
-dropping it causes ur parents to rant at you due to loud noise
-repeatedly dropping when trying to learn new trick
-if too engrossed = cant pay attention in class
-spoils ur pen

but do NOT worry =D here are some tips to "remove" the BAD points!
-place a stack of papers on the place ur practicing etc. to cushion the drop
-its just something to kill time, dun let it affect ur studies, do things at the right time! but u still can spin ur pen while paying attention in class!
-modify a unique pen that doesnt contain any ink and spin it to prevent urself from spoiling a usable pen

u people could have already seen someone spin a pen and u urself could most possibly spin a simple trick as well, like thumbaround and charge (google or youtube this if u do not understand... but thumbaround basically means the normal 360 degree turn ard ur thumb and the charge is making the pen spin in a circle continuously between 2 fingers) IMO, learning tricks from youtube is a great option too and many of the tutorial vids has slow motion which will enable u to see how exactly the trick is executed. patience is really needed to practice this "hobby" as ppl tend to give up learning a trick as they keep failing to succeed once. My tip is just keep trying, keep dropping and retrying and u'll eventually be able to succeed once and sooner or later, be able to perform it. i started learning it ard sec1 and slowly went on to learn more and more tricks, mostly via youtube 1st and from my friend who always tend to perfect it easily. i myself have only perfected some of the common tricks and the others are only ard 80% passes and hard to perfect i would say. Linking different tricks together to form a combo is even harder and they need to seem beautiful... i mean thats the main point right?

the pens im using to spin now are modded pens and cant be used for writing at all. its just a special tool made for spinning. modding pens is fun and are much better to spin as well. u could mod a lighter pen which can go fast but lesser stability IMO, i prefer heavy ones as they are much more stable... but most importantly, the pens need to have a center of gravity at the middle to make sure that the pen is balanced at the center, having the cg not at the center would prove difficult to spin.

pens that i recommend to use for modding:
-pilot G2, superb grips
-zebra pens, unique caps

try nt to spin a pilot G2 w/o taking out the ink or modding since ive spoilt quite a number of them after repeatedly dropping them on the floor... (try to prevent to drop ink pens, they LEAK!) my friend currently uses a spin pen entirely made up of paper. i did see a pro penspinner using only a normal pencil to spin his tricks... that is really PRO O.O!

anyway heres my current combo with my current spin pen, 65% to my next generation pen XD

the quality isnt gd =.= took it using my phone and this combo isnt perfected yet, the last move only has like 30% success rate when added into a combo
