had finished Suzuka's manga yesterday, which was another manga of similar genre as Ichigo 100% and had a few similarity as well. Didnt watch the anime series though, since it ended quite early in the manga chapters and i suspect it to be kinda rushed like Ichigo 100% where not much "feel" would be build up. Suzuka's story begins with the main protagonist (shall use this instead of main character... sounds more cool =D) Yamato who noticed a girl, Suzuka, practising her high jump and thus falls in love with her. He later realises that she lived next door to him and from then on, he tries to build up the relationship with Suzuka. Suzuka does not really show that she was interested in him at first and was kind of annoyed by his character, being clumsy and such and and not seen him as a potential lover as well. Yamato, in order to get closer to Suzuka, joins the track and field club as a sprinter and he was good at it as well and was the ace of the team. Suzuka sees that Yamato was somewhat alike to her deceased senior, Kazuki, who was a sprinter as well and had confessed to Suzuka but got into an accident shortly after. Yamato suspects that Suzuka was being all good with him since he resembled Kazuki and shouted at her once that he was not a replacement for Kazuki and later asks Suzuka not to visit his grave anymore. Suzuka had not been able to forget about Kazuki and on that day, she brought Yamato to the grave as well and said that she likes Yamato as well in front of it. From then on, the two of them started dating but things were bumpy for them and most of the time the both of them were not able to agree to each other's actions or words. Suzuka later went abroad to study and breaks up with Yamato before she leaves. After a year, she returns again and tries to rebuild a friendship with Yamato but breaks down as Yamato confessed to her again and it would've destroyed the friendship she was trying so hard to build up once again. However, things did work out in the end and the both of them restarted their relationship. The both of them, being potential athletes, were given recommendations from two universities and they were promised a place at the same university. Later on, Yamato wanted to further their relationship but things got worse when Suzuka found out that she was pregnant. Due to that and their reluctance to carry out an abortion, the both of them had to give up their places in university. The two of them then start to live together and had a proper wedding ceremony after Yamato managed to save up enough money. The child they had was named as Fuka.

The series mainly focuses on the relationship between Yamato and Suzuka which is thus different from Ichigo 100% where the main protagonist had more than one girl that were potential candidates. For the Suzuka series, there was only another girl that was in love with Yamato at the start, Honoka, who was in a short relationship with Yamato since she realised that Yamato was still unable to forget Suzuka and then had went on to chase her own dream. Many ups and downs were seen in the series as their relationship progresses and was kind of like a drama series (which was why i quitted watching dramas lol) but it have a happier ending as compared to Ichigo 100%. I certainly was touched while reading Ichigo 100% and had almost teared while reading it unlike Suzuka. BUT! Suzuka's series is still not a bad series where u get to see more details and the hardships overcame by the both of them and feel happy for them due to the happy end. There was a short time leap for Suzuka, a one year period, similar to the time leap in Ichigo 100% but different in the time leapt and the appearance of the leap. All in all, it was still a series i had enjoyed reading nonetheless :D do recommend it after Ichigo 100%!

P.S. OK... Suzuka was really more er... forward... than Ichigo 100%, was kinda similar to Clannad, Nagisa's arc. Well, they alrdy did IT before marriage lol, thats like common in mangas or anime... =.= oh well, anyway, an impt note, Suzuka's X portions are WAAAY more than that of Ichigo 100% so do watch urselves :)
